New Worker - The Veteran!
Attention, soldiers! Roland Knecht has arrived!
Hailing from many battlefields, the Veteran is now ready to settle in more peaceful pastures. He brings with him a wealth of military knowledge, including the ability to craft Dual Wield Weapons and Quivers!
But that’s not all. As a renowned drill instructor, he knows how to whip those Heroes into shape! His Premium Worker ability allows you to, once per Hero, replace a skill with any skill of your choice. The only restrictions are that it must be a skill that Hero can learn normally, and one that is not already known to the Hero. It can be any skill slot and any skill rarity.
All Heroes, new and old, can benefit from this effect once each.
Roland is available for purchase for players at level 32 or higher.
New Blueprint Type - Quivers!
In a world where ammo is infinite, can there be a market for quivers? If there is a will, there is a way. These quivers are quite the bundle and contain arrows, bolts and bullets at the same time!
Due to this, it also has a few special rules. One, it can only be equipped alongside a Gun, Crossbow or Bow. It’s not too useful otherwise! If it’s equipped alongside another weapon, it will be disabled and provide no stat bonuses.
Two, it bears a special affinity for Bows, which gain a 30% item bonus when equipped alongside a quiver. One cannot name a more iconic duo, after all.
Rest assured however that Guns, Crossbows and Bows can still function without the help of a quiver if one prefers.
New Blueprint Type - Dual Wield!
Perhaps our most unique item type yet!
From a crafting point of view, Dual wield is conventional. It is its own blueprint line, with its own Ascension Milestones and Advanced Research. Let’s take the Crystal Destroyers blueprint, for example. It is a Dual Wield blueprint featuring an Axe and a Mace. The result is a single item (Crystal Destroyers) that can be sold and equipped normally, benefitting from Dual Wield crafting upgrades, but not from Axe or Mace ones.
When it comes to Heroes though, things get more unique. No Hero class can explicitly equip Dual Wield items. So long as they can normally wield one of the weapons part of the Dual Wield, they can wield it! A Cleric for example could equip the Crystal Destroyers, even if they can’t normally use Axes.
This logic is similar for Hero skills. While no skill specifically enhances Dual Wield, other skills such as Mace Master would grant their full bonus to the Crystal Destroyers. Similarly, a Thief (with its innate bonus to Daggers) with the Sword Master skill would receive the benefit of both skills if equipped with a Sword/Dagger Dual Wield item. Do keep in mind however that a single skill (e.g Warlord) will never grant its bonus twice.
Major Changes
Guild Finder
We’ve overhauled the Guild Finder algorithm to more accurately find guilds suitable for the user. We’re also currently working on improving the Member Finder, which should help guilds find members from dead guilds.
Minor Changes
Restored the Guild’s Choice option to the guild settings.
The Scholar now shows up at level 15. Previously, she showed as soon as the player crafted a few enchantments, which could lead to some confusion.
Since everyone’s doing bounties now, there’s a bit of competition on the bounty board. We’ve added 3 new guild upgrades to increase the amount of bounties available at once.
With Dual Wield and Quivers, we now have a lot of blueprint lines with special rules! Deep within the blueprint details of relevant items, we’ve added a line explaining these special rules, if any. In the future, we’ll look into a more visible solution.
Improved the visual clarity of contribution amounts in the guild contribution menu in events.
Balance Changes
Druidic Grimoire Ascension upgrades now reduce the quality of its Noble Ring components to Normal, rather than removing one of them.
“Sell X Gold Worth of items” bounties are now a bit harder, and “Surcharge X gold worth of items” bounties are now a bit easier.
Small talk bounties are now a bit easier to account for the failure chance.
“Spend Resource” bounties are now a bit easier.
Each bounty type normally goes on a cooldown for some time before it can resurface. This cooldown has been halved, allowing them to show up again faster.
