Tier 12

Tier 12 is finally here! If your Research Scroll stocks allow, you can look forward to crafting a new mythical and highly valuable blueprint from each item type (minus enchantments and stones… for now). Excalibur, Blackbeard’s Cannon, The Vermilion Guard armor set, or even the Philosopher’s Stone are now within reach!

This new set of items also includes a Tier 12 Mundra Potion, Mundra’s Remedy! Familiars shouldn’t drink that one!

True Sigils

Alongside Tier 12 comes new sigils, required to craft just about all of these highly powerful items. The Sigil of True Might, Grace and Spark are remarkably difficult to create… have you been hoarding epic items? Or even legendaries...?

In actuality, they’re only a small step above their lesser cousin, instead requiring a Tier 7 Flawless item in exchange for 4 True Sigils. The Tier 11 sigils of old have also received an update making them easier to fuse, read more on that below.

Extended Ascension Milestones

The Ascension Milestones for all item types (save for enchantments and stones) just got an upgrade! Ten new reward tiers have been added, offering upgrades such as reduced energy cost to Rush, reduced surcharge energy cost (Tier 11 and 12) and a chance to refund lesser sigils upon crafting T11 items.

Alongside this, we’ve revised and upgraded the appearance of the Ascension Milestones interface. We’ve also shuffled the titles around to make space for the new milestones, as the rank of “Titan” can only be held by one who has completely maxed out a line. This is a purely visual change.

New Dungeon

The Cinderlake Volcano is the new hotspot for components! Are you a bad enough dude to defeat the Crushtaceans within and steal their valuable components?

This new quest location is available for gold starting at level 65, costing 1 billion gold.

Tower of Titans Epsilon

The Epsilon tower challenge will be available for players of level 67 and up. On top of an increased challenge, players can look forward to powerful bosses, all of them packing 3 random modifiers.

Lost City of Gold Extension

With the next Opulent item being Tier 12, the number of Pure Gold required to earn it has increased. It is now located at Milestone 27, requiring 80k Pure Gold to claim.

In addition, we’ve updated the dungeon’s quest difficulties slightly. In an effort to make each step more significant (and save space), Difficulty 2 and 5 have been removed. In exchange, the difficulty preceding them (1 and 4) inherited their Pure Gold rewards. This should also make working your way through the Golem Bosses quicker and more impactful.

A new difficulty has also been added (now 11), much more difficult than the previous ones, but of course more rewarding.

With these changes in mind, be mindful when sending your parties during the next event.

Major Changes

Elemental Barriers

The craftiest, toughest monsters in the dungeons have learned a new trick! Denizens of the Cinderlake Volcano, as well as Extreme difficulty monsters, are now equipped with a magical Barrier. This barrier is very strong, but always has a weakness to an element.

So long as the barrier is active, monsters will resist 80% of incoming HP damage. Heroes of the matching element will deal damage to this barrier, equal to their own elemental score. Reducing the barrier’s HP to 0 will destroy it, allowing full damage to be dealt, so it’s well worth packing as much of the matching element as possible to destroy it ASAP!

Future Epsilon towers will also feature Elemental Barriers on some monsters. However, since players may be busy updating their Hero roster to tackle this new challenge, this month’s Tower will not feature any Elemental Barriers.

Champion Elements

With the monsters learning new tricks, Champions have risen up to the challenge to help! All Champions now have an Element, too! Starting at Rank 5, Champions will earn their first Elemental score, which will steadily keep rising until Rank 10. Enchanted familiars can increase this further.

Since Champions have no skills (aside from their leader skill, which rises with ranks), their Element serves to help against Elemental Barriers. Bringing the right Champion on a quest can make a difference!

Here are the Champions and their respective elements:

  • Argon: Light

  • Lilu: Water

  • Sia: Air

  • Yami: Dark

  • Rudo: Fire

  • Polonia: Water

  • Donovan: Fire

  • Hemma: Dark

  • Ashley: Earth

Collection Book Table of Contents

As requested by the community, the Collection book now has a new page to keep track of your overall collection. From there, you can have a good idea of how well your total collection fares, such as percentage completion for weapons, accessories, or overall completion.

These statistics can be arranged to either display completion based on the blueprints you own, or based on the content currently available in the game.

Minor Changes

Spellblades

Spellblades, with their “All” element, can damage any elemental barrier. In exchange for this unparalleled flexibility, their Barrier damage is only 30% of their full Element score.

Extreme Quests

Extreme quests just got trickier. All monsters from these quests now have an Elemental Barrier.

To compensate for this stricter party composition requirement, we’ve also made Extreme quests in general a bit easier.

Misc Changes

  • Added a Critical Hit bonus to Mundra’s Hornbow.

  • The progress bubble shown on blueprints in the crafting list no longer includes items being fused, only those being crafted.

  • The scroll for Lost City of Gold blueprints now has its own unique look.

  • When running Lost City of Gold quests, only the first three completed quests of each event will show the reward progress (to ensure all players know how it works). Following that, it will only be shown if a reward is unlocked.

  • Mundra the Moon Dragon and Evelyn the Scholar will now bring more and better Stones when they visit your shop. In addition, Evelyn will also sometimes sell Wands instead of Runestones.

Balance Changes

  • Added new levels to the Emerald Inn and the Tavern to support the new dungeon. Also reduced the required investments a bit for those later levels.

  • Reduced the amount of crafts required to upgrade and master Tier 11 items.

  • Sigils of Might, Grace and Spark now require a Tier 6 Superior item to fuse (originally Flawless), resulting in 2 Sigils. The other costs have also been reduced.

Bug Fixes

  • Fixed an issue causing some item tooltips to show an item as available to donate, despite already being part of your collection.

  • Fixed Familiar stats display not updating properly after enchanting when expected.

  • Fixed various locations where a blank secondary skill effect appeared for Heroes.

  • Fixed an issue that allowed users to repeatedly open the Store screen while it was already opened.

  • Fixed an issue with Guild Perks improperly deducting more than expected Renown when rapidly purchased.

  • Fixed missing SFX for Xolotl Spirit and Quetzalcoatl Spirit when enchanting an item.

  • Fixed Wallace coming to the player's shop informing them their guild is inactive, regardless of guild activity level.

  • Fixed Ashley’s skill also doubling quest speed bonuses from other sources, such as quest upgrades and guild boosts.

  • Fixed Guild Finder appearing as empty for all players.

  • Fixed an issue causing Quest Outlook faces to be inconsistent when selecting characters VS when placed in the quest.
